Accounts worth following

@cowtownmomlife — Fort Worth “boy mom ×3” posting kid-friendly events, family adventures, and local finds. The most clearly Fort-Worth-first activity account going (~24k).
@dfw.kids — DFW mom of two covering family activities metroplex-wide (~44k) — good for “worth the drive” decisions.
@dallasfunfam — the biggest “things to do in DFW with kids” account (~319k). Dallas-based but regularly features Fort Worth.
@fort.mama — hyper-local micro-account profiled by 360West as a “go-to guide for Fort Worth moms on the move”: splash pads, zoo hacks, hidden-gem parks.
@themomwalkco.fortworth — the local chapter of the stroller-walk meetup movement; follows turn into actual in-person walks.

Local mom media

Fort Worth Moms (fwmoms.com) — the big one: “Connecting the moms of Tarrant County.” Articles, podcast, newsletters, a community events calendar, and ~20 geographic “Neighbor Groups” on Facebook. Part of the national City Mom Collective network.
Tanglewood Moms — Victoria Wise’s west-side institution (Facebook group since 2011, ~6 posts/week, plus Madeworthy magazine). Effectively a southwest-Fort-Worth lifestyle brand at this point.
DFWChild — the legacy regional parenting magazine: weekend roundups, mom-group directory, indoor-play guide, neighborhood guides.
Fort Worth Report — nonprofit newsroom with the best serious K-12 coverage of Fort Worth’s districts. Their free weekly School Report newsletter (Tuesdays) is the one to get if you have school-age kids.
360West — westside Tarrant lifestyle glossy that actively covers the mom-and-kid scene.

Facebook groups that actually help

Tanglewood Moms — the original 2011 group; recommendations, vents, celebrations (southwest FW anchor).
Fort Worth Moms Group — general-purpose support with playdates and scheduled meetups.
FWM Neighbor Groups — ~20 free area-based groups joined via fwmoms.com/meet-moms — the closest thing to an organized neighborhood-mom system in the county.
Keller Area Moms — long-running nonprofit with playgroups and service projects; GCS Moms League covers Grapevine/Colleyville/Southlake.
Fort Worth Weird Moms Club — ~2,000+ inclusive/alternative moms known for community clothing drives and swaps; covered by NBC5 and the Fort Worth Report.

Rhea Lana’s — boutique-style semi-annual events: West Fort Worth and Keller–Southlake.
Year-round stores: Once Upon A Child (S. Hulen) and Kid to Kid Fort Worth.
Buy Nothing groups: active hyperlocal gifting groups citywide and in the Heritage/Alliance corridor — find yours at buynothingproject.org.
Berry Good Buys — SafeHaven’s resale store; purchases fund the domestic-violence nonprofit.

Where moms actually take the kids (and get a coffee)

Press Cafe (Clearfork) — stroller-friendly patio on the Trinity Trails; kids’ menu includes a drink, chips, and local ice cream.
Zoli’s Pizza (Hulen) — fenced, shaded playground: the standard answer to “dinner where the kids can run.”
Wild Acre Brewing — massive playground, jumping pillow, pedal-kart track; openly built for parents.
The Happy Lark (5015 El Campo Ave) — the beloved local toy store, now in a renovated historic house with “The Play Pocket” event room.
Indoor play: Imagination Station FTW (Montessori-style, complimentary coffee for parents), Cheeky Monkeys, KidMania, Kids Empire, Play Street Museum, Jungle Castle.
BREWED (Magnolia) — kid-tolerated brunch, not a play café. And a real gap we found: Fort Worth proper has no true coffee-shop-with-a-play-area — the format exists in Dallas and the mid-cities, but not here yet. Somebody build it.
