Saturday, July 25 · Fort Worth Stockyards · FREE. The best free family day of late summer: cowboy parade, matinee rodeo, comedy gunfight shows, armadillo races, cow milking, face painting, and a fiddle showcase. Rangers weekend at Globe Life Field
The Rangers are home Friday–Monday. Sunday is the family play: $1 Blue Bell for kids 13 & under, the free Kids Zone wiffle ballpark near Section 238, and a Harry Potter bobblehead giveaway Sunday, July 26. The roof means it’s air-conditioned baseball. Family guide
Friday night: concert at the water park
Neon & Palm Trees Summer Concert, Friday, July 24 · NRH2O, North Richland Hills — an evening concert included with park admission, so the swim day rolls into the show. NRH2O
The free-culture Friday
The Modern is free all day Friday (under 18 is always free), the Kimbell’s permanent collection is always free, and the Amon Carter is always free, special exhibitions included — all three within a walk of each other in the Cultural District. Air-conditioned art crawl; the Modern’s reflecting pond does half the entertaining.
Saturday morning markets
Cowtown Farmers Market (White Settlement) and Clearfork Farmers Market (on the Trinity Trails) — both 8 a.m.–noon. Clearfork is the stroller-friendly one; pair it with the Press Cafe patio.
Every night: the drive-in
Coyote Drive-In on Panther Island — gates ~6 p.m., ~$8 adults / $5 kids / under 5 free, playground + free retro arcade while you wait for dark. Kids in pajamas in the truck bed.
